Hey there, I’m Douglas! I’m currently a student at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow studying Electronics and Computer Science. I was born and raised in Glasgow, however spending a year abroad in Brisbane, Australia as part of an study exchange programme.
Ever since I was little I have been interested in how things worked, and had exposures to technology and computers from a very young age causing my current love for technology today. I am also a fan of science and mathematics and ever since school I have excelled at them.
Currently, I am very interested in embedded systems, tangible interfaces, networked devices, and virtually anything that flashes or beeps. I am very interested in hacking older technology and revamp it so that it works with systems in use today (for example a Commadore 64 which connects to twitter). I am also a support of Open Source Software because it helps people learn, gain experience, and promote worldwide collaboration.
